About the Journal

International Journal of Cultural Heritage Informatics (IJCHI) is a peer-reviewed international journal published by the Master’s Program in Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Udayana, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing scholarly research at the intersection of cultural heritage and information technology.

IJCHI provides an academic platform for researchers, academicians, and practitioners to publish high-quality original research articles, review papers, and case studies related to the application of informatics and digital technologies in cultural heritage studies. The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches that integrate computer science, digital humanities, cultural studies, and heritage sciences.

The scope of IJCHI includes, but is not limited to, digital preservation and restoration of cultural heritage, semantic technologies and ontologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, natural language processing for historical texts and manuscripts, computer vision and 3D reconstruction, virtual and augmented reality, digital archives and repositories, cultural heritage information systems, and emerging technologies supporting heritage conservation and dissemination.

IJCHI aims to promote innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange at both national and international levels. The journal seeks to support sustainable cultural heritage preservation by encouraging the use of advanced information technologies while maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing standards.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of published articles. IJCHI publishes articles in English and is committed to open access principles, enabling the free dissemination of research findings to the global academic community.
